PTA Fundraiser TONIGHT!!!

 Come walk as a family, have fun as a family, and raise funds as a family at our first Hidden Hollow Walk-a-Thon with a mini carnival
and the super popular bake sale!

At Nolan park from 5-7pm only! Tickets and punch cards will be for sale during the event.

Little Ceaser's Pizza, Chick-fil-a, and Waffle Love will be
on site for dinner options as well.
Bounce houses, games, face painting, photo booth.....

All proceeds will go to Hidden Hollow and  the new Black Ridge Elementary so come and support your local school and have fun! 

Teacher Appreciation Week

Every year we honor our schools hard working, dedicated teachers and our outstanding support staff with a Teacher Appreciation Week. This event will be April 28th-May 2nd.

As a parent I feel that Hidden Hollow is very blessed to have such a wonderful group of teachers. With a staff of 92, every employee is an asset to our school and the parents and students are privileged to be a part of this. 
Students can also help show their gratitude with fun themes each day!

PTA Walk-A-Thon/Mini Carnival

Mark your calendars for this year's Hidden Hollow PTA fundraising event, which will be held MONDAY, MAY 5TH FROM 5 PM- 7 PM AT NOLAN PARK. Come support the PTA and have a fun family night that includes: bounce houses, carnival games, bake sale, walk-a-thon, dinner (available for purchase) and lots of fun.

Discounted punch cards (can be used for bounce houses and carnival games) will be sold for $15 until March 28th. After that they will sell for $20. Each card will have 20 punches. They can be purchased Feb. 21st after school, March 21st after school, the 1st grade program and at the Talent Show. You can also purchase punch cards online at the NEW PTA STORE WEBSITE.

Annual Huntsman Awards for Excellence in Education

There are many outstanding teachers, administrators and volunteers at Hidden Hollow, it would be great to see some of them nominated for this award!

Volunteer Opportunities

There are always many ways to help in the PTA. Here are some of the PTA programs that are currently in need of volunteers.

Book Fair: volunteers are needed to help sell item, keep shelves organized and watch the door to make sure children take off backpacks and coats before entering the book fair. If you would like to help, please sign-up at: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E44A9AD2FAA8-book1. Volunteers will receive a $5 certificate to spend at the book fair for every shift they work.

RadKIDS: volunteers are needed to assist the RadKIDS instructors teach children self-defense. If you would like to help, please sign-up at: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B4FAAA728A75-radkids

Battle of the Books: need volunteers to help ask questions to the participants. There is a Battle of the Books volunteer meeting on Monday, Feb. 24th at 9:30 am in the school library. Battle of the books will be March 11-14, 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Power our Kids...and Take Off! AGAIN!

It's not too late to join Hidden Hollow PTA!
We are hosting a second JetBlue Drawing! Throughout the month of October, each person that pays dues (only $6!) and joins the HH PTA is entered into a drawing to win TWO roundtrip airplane tickets courtesy of JetBlue Airways!

• Each Dad that joins earns TWO entries
• Current members receive an EXTRA entry for referrals (write referring name on envelope)
• Current members receive an EXTRA entry when they *Share* any post on FB in October
• The teacher whose class has the most members receives an EXTRA entry

Cash and checks made payable to "Hidden Hollow PTA" are accepted in the front office. You must join by NOVEMBER 1ST to be be eligible for entry into this JetBlue drawing.

Red Ribbon Week October 7-9

We have some fun activities planned! We need your support!

We are planning  Flash Mob appearances during lunches on Tuesday, October 8th. There will be 3 Flash Mobs so all of the students will be able to see it, they will take place at 11:20, 11:40, and 12:00. Seeing parents, teachers and staff strut their stuff will help ingrain in our kids how important it is to stay substance free. 

The dance is simple and easy to perform, there are 2 more practices, one on Friday, October 4th, and one on Monday, October 7th, both at 3:40, in the gym. 
Please come and join the fun while helping our children!
